tens are the new zeros

nothing is worse than a perfect ten -
they’re usually the world’s most tedious men
they’re gorgeous, which means they never had to be funny
and they tend to have less brains than they do money
yes, a stud is a dud, no truth is more true
-- so find me a dirty seven point two --
one who is clever and likes things i do
one with a chiseled…wit with which to woo
and a perfect six pack…of my favourite brew.

we’re an interesting intellectual bunch
pondering work questions each day
- like, what should we eat for lunch?
shall we sit in? or just take away?

we adopt a most professional attitude
when engaging in smart, savvy talk,
it mostly revolves around food
and starts around 9 o’clock.
