though friday night epiphanies are usually rare
- here i find myself suddenly seeing
gazing round this palatial potty, I could swear
these bathrooms were not made for peeing

see, your average water closet is, well, closet sized
and yet these could seat up to thirty
as though some hipster architect hip-ly devised
a place to clean up AND get dirty.

and the mirrors! the mirrors! they’re everywhere!
is that my reflection on the counter I’m seeing?!
gazing round this lavish lavatory, i’m fully aware
these bathrooms were not made for peeing.
